Are you a Healthcare Facility? SWITCH TO PERMANENT DIRECT HIRE

FAQs

Getting Started

Sparrth is an ethical international nurse recruitment agency that connects qualified healthcare professionals with U.S. employers through a direct-hire model with zero fees to nurses and comprehensive support programs.

We work with internationally educated nurses seeking U.S. employment and with U.S. healthcare facilities (hospitals, clinics, nursing homes, home health agencies) needing qualified nurses.

We charge no fees to nurses, provide seven Flagship Programs for credential sponsorship and transition support, and maintain full compliance with WHO Code and Alliance for Ethical International Recruitment Practices standards.

For Nurses

No—Sparrth never charges nurses placement, processing, or recruitment fees; all services and Flagship Programs are 100% free to candidates.
Sparrth provides partial sponsorship for a limited number of retakes; additional attempts may require cost-sharing or meeting program milestones—see GreenLight guidelines for details.
Our six programs support your journey: GreenLight (exam sponsorship), RoadReady (driver’s license prep), RetroSurge (upskilling during visa delays), ClearHealth (medical exam support), VitalStart (BLS/ACLS certification), and FirstFlight (dependent airfare assistance).
If you can demonstrate current driving skills, you may not be eligible for RoadReady sponsorship, but we’ll still provide road safety adaptation resources.
We offer 90-day check-ins, mentorship connections, and problem-solving support to ensure your successful integration and career growth in the U.S.
We sponsor or reimburse costs for NCLEX-RN, English proficiency exams (IELTS, TOEFL, OET, PTE, MET), VisaScreen, CGFNS evaluation, and life-support certifications through our GreenLight and VitalStart programs.

Yes, we coordinate closely with your sponsoring employer and their immigration counsel throughout the visa petition process, though we do not provide legal advice.

Yes—our FirstFlight program provides airfare reimbursement/sponsorship for one dependent (spouse or child), plus guidance on family integration and settlement.

Active Sparrth candidates can refer qualified nurses and earn rewards per successful placement when your referral completes key milestones, subject to annual program caps.

You must have a valid nursing license in your home country, be eligible for or have passed NCLEX-RN, meet English proficiency requirements (IELTS, TOEFL, OET, PTE, or MET), and be VisaScreen-eligible or certified.

For Healthcare Employers

We follow a direct-hire ethical model with zero worker-paid fees, comprehensive pre-arrival preparation through Flagship Programs, and end-to-end coordination from I-140 prep through post-placement support.
From initial order to nurse arrival, the timeline is typically 12-24 months (barring retrogression), including USCIS processing (6-12 months standard or 15 days with premium processing) and consular processing (2-6 months).
All candidates undergo rigorous screening for clinical competency, licensure verification through Nursys.com, English proficiency validation, background checks, and credential authentication before being presented to employers.
Yes—we maintain regular engagement with both nurses and employers for at least 90 days post-arrival to address challenges, support retention, and ensure long-term placement success.
Our fee structure is customized based on your volume and needs; contact us for a detailed proposal.
Complete our Employer Quick Start form, discuss your staffing needs with our team, and we’ll create a customized recruitment agreement and begin simultaneous immigration prep and candidate sourcing.
We offer needs assessment, I-140 coordination, candidate sourcing and screening, interview coordination, credential verification, immigration petition management, pre-arrival preparation, and post-placement retention support.
We coordinate travel logistics, cultural orientation, state licensure applications, facility onboarding support, and 90-day wellness check-ins to ensure smooth integration.
Yes, we source candidates across all major specialties (ICU, Med-Surg, L&D, OR, Emergency, Pediatrics, Geriatrics, Home Health) and can match nurses to your specific clinical requirements and facility culture.
Absolutely— We support first-time sponsors every step of the way. We connect you with experienced immigration counsel and help coordinate the full process, including DOL labor certification and USCIS filings.

Immigration & Visa Process

(Please consult an immigration attorney for accurate information)
The I-140 is an Immigrant Petition for Alien Worker filed by the employer with USCIS once a candidate accepts your job offer; it typically takes 6-12 months for standard processing or 15 days with premium processing.
Visa retrogression occurs when demand exceeds available visa numbers, creating waiting periods; our RetroSurge program provides upskilling opportunities for nurses during these delays to maintain engagement and career development.
Yes, premium processing is available for certain visa categories and reduces USCIS processing time from 6-12 months to approximately 15 days for an additional fee.

Programs & Benefits

GreenLight sponsors or reimburses costs for NCLEX-RN, English proficiency exams, VisaScreen certification, and CGFNS evaluation to help nurses become U.S.-ready.
RetroSurge offers professional upskilling courses and certifications for nurses experiencing visa retrogression delays, keeping them engaged and career-ready during waiting periods.
VitalStart covers BLS, ACLS, and PALS certification costs at AHA-accredited U.S. sites, ensuring nurses have current, U.S.-compliant life-support credentials upon arrival.

GreenGuard is a support program designed to help internationally educated nurses and their families with the final financial step of their U.S. immigration journey. Specifically, once your immigrant visa or permanent residency is approved, GreenGuard steps in to sponsor part of the USCIS Green Card (immigrant) fees for you and your eligible dependents.

Some programs have eligibility criteria based on placement status, visa category, or milestone completion; specific requirements are detailed in individual program guidelines.
RoadReady provides home country driver’s license preparation support, including study materials and test coordination, to help nurses gain mobility independence upon U.S. arrival.

ClearHealth sponsors medical examination costs and provides lodging support for U.S. Embassy visa interviews, removing financial barriers to the final immigration steps.

FirstFlight provides airfare reimbursement/sponsorship for one dependent (spouse or child) to support family reunification and reduce the emotional burden of separation.

AmbassadorAdvantage is Sparrth’s referral rewards program that celebrates nurses who help other qualified nurses start their U.S. nursing journey with us. We’d love to share more—please reach out to Sparrth anytime for full details and personalized guidance on how to get started.
